He was finally home; this would be the best Christmas ever

Sophia heard a bark outside of the door last night and when she opened it, she saw that her best friend was back after 2 months. The whole family celebrated the homecoming of Spike, the family dog. He was missing in two months in the city of Santa Monica, all by himself.

It all started an October night when the family was having dinner. Spike lay right under the feet’s of Sophia hoping that some food would fall down from the table. But then, right out of the blue Spike ran right out of the door that was open to ventilate. The family just sat there in shock and stared at the door. Sophia was first to run after Spike but when she got out she couldn’t see him, anywhere.

The next day the family started to call people in the neighborhood and sat up posters all over the city about that Spike was missing. And they also promised an award for to anyone who could bring him back home. Sophia just sat inside and cried for hours every day and her worries increased that something dangerous would have happened to Spike. Her sorrow was enormous.

The days passed by, a week, two weeks, a month but still no Spike. The family started losing hope that Spike would come back home. So they moved on with their lives as usual, except Sophia. She still hade some hope left, and despite the other family members she wouldn’t stop believing that someday she would be facing Spike again.

Everyday after school Sophia went to cover all the places were she used to be with Spike hoping to find him.

Then it had passed two months and Sophia had started to think that she would never see Spike again. But little did she know that that night, her best friend would return from his adventure in the city.

The night before Christmas the family sat down in the living room and watched a Christmas special on the TV, and then Sophia finally heard it, the bark that she had been waiting for, for two months. She ran to the door and there he sat, completely unaware of the situation and the only recovery he seemed to need was the love of his family.

He was finally home; this would be the best Christmas ever.
